Community and social events made easier.
Imagine you're planning a get-together with friends, but everyone's schedules are different and finding a time that works for everyone is a hassle. Circles simplifies event planning by allowing users to easily create and invite friends to events with just a few taps. The app also enables users to discover and participate in public events that align with their interests. With Circles, planning events and creating meaningful experiences with friends has never been easier!
Time Frame: 3 weeks

Project type: Personal

My Goal
To create an event scheduling app that simplifies the process of planning and participating in social events, ultimately facilitating more meaningful experiences with friends and community.
The problem
The main problem that Circles aims to solve is the challenge of planning and coordinating social events, particularly when trying to find a time that works for everyone's schedules. Circles addresses this issue by providing a user-friendly platform for creating and discovering events, enabling users to connect with others and have more meaningful social experiences.

Designing the Solution
Circles, a personalized event App
Allowing users to add friends and connect their calendar to keep track of dates and times. The app provides a personalized and editable event creation interface that includes the ability to add a cover photo, name and description, participants, and the option to define whether the event is private or public, with the ability to easily share via other apps.
Following events
Circles offers an easy-to-use and clear calendar feature, allowing users to keep track of their schedule and ensure they never miss an event. With the app, users can easily discover and participate in local events that align with their interests, providing opportunities to meet new people, try new things, and create memorable experiences.
Design & Research process
Building an idea
The idea was born from my personal need to make plans and organize events for friends and family, while facing difficulties in managing the planning process and communicating with everyone about the best date. Additionally, I missed having a place to search for local events around my area. By combining all of these needs, I created Circles.
Competitive analysis
To gain a deeper understanding of the event planning and scheduling landscape, I conducted a competitive analysis of popular scheduling apps such as Google Calendar, Facebook Events, HoneyBook, and WhatsApp groups, examining their unique approaches and identifying potential areas for improvement.
